The LoI with Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters is for the construction of the hull and topside as well as the integration of the Vito FPU for Shell Offshore.
The FPU would comprise a single topside module supported by a four-column semi-submersible floating hull.
The Vito FPU located in Mississippi Canyon, US would be designed with a throughput capacity of 100,000 bpd of oil and 100 MMSFCD of gas.
The final award of the contract to Sembmarine is subject to Shell's partners sanctioning the project.
