Each of the partners will contribute one ship of around 1,000 teu on the weekly service, with the first sailing from Shanghai on the 11 December.
The port rotation will be Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Shekou – Manila (south harbour) –Shanghai.
The new service expands on Evergreen's existing four feeder loops which serve the Philippines.
Evergreen quoted statistics from China’s General Administration of Customs that peg the increase in bilateral trade between China and ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) at 8.9% during the first ten months of 2014, with China’s imports and exports to/from the Philippines showing growth of 17.1%.
