The company said revenues dropped mainly due a 55% drop in dry freight rates and the reduction of the company’s fleet to an equivalent of 16.6 full time vessels and the disruption to coal sales caused by flooding Thailand.
TTA said the majority of the losses in the first quarter stemmed from the write-off of management and commitment fees on 2007 syndicated loan and further impairment of assets under construction.
