Damen Shipyards Sharjah celebrates third anniversary with 13 vessels in dock
Damen Shipyard Sharjah (DSS) has started its third year in operations in style with 13 vessels being dry-docked simultaneously.

DSS is a joint venture between Damen Shipyards Group and Albwardy Marine Engineering and opened in January 2014.

The yard celebrated its third anniversary with 13 vessels in dock including pilot boats, landing craft, OSVs, and a cable-laying vessel.

Last year DSS delivered eight newbuildings, carried out two conversions and 165 drydockings.

The yard is located in the Sharjah Hamriyah Free Zone (UAE) on a 284,000 sq m site.
