APL extends guaranteed service to transatlantic and Oceania routes

Container line APL is expanding its premium guaranteed equipment and service offering to its transatlantic and Oceania networks.

APL’s Eagle GO guaranteed service was launched on the transpacific last October and is now being to six US bound services from 17 European ports, and seven services to Australia and New Zealand.

The service will be offered immediately on APL’s Asia Australia Express (AAX), Asia Fremantle Express (AFX), China Australia (CAS, CA2 and CA3) and New Zealand Express (NZE and NZ2) services that call at the Asian ports of Singapore, Port Klang, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Busan, Osaka and Yokohama. From June it will be broadened to the Chinese ports of Chinese ports of Shekou, Nansha, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai and Qingdao on the same services.

On the transatlantic from 23 April the service will be offered on the Atlantic Gulf (AGX), Atlantic Express (AXS), Europe California Express (ECX), North Atlantic (NAS), South Atlantic Express (SAX) and West Mediterranean (WMS).

“With this, APL now provides more options for guaranteed space and equipment in all seasons for our customers’ most demanding, time-sensitive and high volume cargoes,” said Calvin Leong, chief trade officer of APL.
