The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released an accident docket on sunken ro-ro vessel El Faro, operated by TOTE Services.

The US-flagged vessel, owned by Sea Star Line, was sailing from Jacksonville to San Juan, Puerto Rico through the Bermuda Triangle when it lost engine power and was caught up in category 4 Hurricane Joaquin, sinking with all hands including 28 US and five Polish crew members. Only one body from the crew has been recovered.

The vessel was subsequently located on 31 October 2015 in about 15,000 ft of water in the vicinity of its last known position near Crooked Island, Bahamas. NTSB today released the photos and video footage taken by Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) CURV-21.
