Name change for CCNI

Name change for CCNI
The shipping company controlled by Chile's Urenda family, which until this Tuesday was known by the historic Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica (CCNI) will now be called Compania Maritime Chilena (Chilean Maritime Company-CMC), starting this week.

The change of the company name, logo and branding name for advertising purposes, of the company controlled by the Urenda family, comes after the sale of one of the relevant business of CCNI: the container shipping, which transferred to the German Hamburg Süd. The sale was completed on 30 March.

Following this transaction, the company will focus on other shipping business, so along with the name change, will expand the business of the company, incorporating the "ship management" business, which includes the purchase and sale of ships.
