PIL expands China-transpacific service with new network

PIL expands China-transpacific service with new network
Pacific International Lines (PIL), in collaboration with Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) and Wai Han Lines, will introduce a new China Transpacific 3 (TP3) service from 10 May 2015 with six container vessels.

The six boxships on the new TP3 will have sizes ranging from 5,500 teu to 6,000 teu, and the trade will commence from China’s Qingdao port, also covering Shanghai, Xiamen and Long Beach.

PIL said that with this new service, it will be able to offer a competitive transit time of 13 days from Xiamen to Long Beach.

Meanwhile, PIL said it plans to enhance its China-transpacific coverage with slots on its existing TP2 service with port rotation of Hong Kong, Yantian, Long Beach, Yantian and back to Hong Kong.

The revamped TP2 service will commence from Hong Kong on 10 May.
