The vessel POSH Xanadu has been on charter to Brazil’s state oil and gas firm Petrobras for the past year and the latest announcement is an extension of the contract.
POSH Xanadu is designed for deepwater and harsh operating environments, and can accommodate up to 750 people.
“Despite facing adverse weather conditions during certain periods over the past year, she [POSH Xanadu] was able to achieve 100% operational uptime even when all other floatels in the area had disconnected,” said Gerald Seow, ceo of POSH.
Besides, housing accommodation, catering, recreational facilities and a hospital for crew onboard, POSH Xanadu offers a wide range of workspace solutions such as conference rooms, workstations, workshops, warehouses and two large offshore cranes.
