The 200-day firm with 15-day optional extension contract will be fulfilled with the provision of Prosafe’s Safe Concordia semi-submersible accommodation vessel and commence in September 2018, the company said in a press release. Financial details were not revealed and the specific FPSO project was not disclosed but the contract value includes mobilization and demobilization costs.
MODEC has delivered 12 FPSOs to the Brazilian oil and gas sector so far. The FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29 deployed in the Tartaruga Verde field in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil achieved first oil in June and has just started a 20-year charter.
