SFI said it had contracted a Korean yard for two 114,000 dwt LR2 tankers for delivery in the second half of 2017. The newbuildings will be deployed on seven year charter contracts, with an option to extend for two years, with a US based energy firm.
The charters are estimated to produce an average annual EBITDA of $11m.
