26 crew feared dead as two Chinese cargoships sink
Two cargo ships sank off China's east coast in two separate accidents on Sunday, leading to the deaths of 10 seafarers and 16 missing crew members, according to Shandong Maritime Safety Administration.

A cargo vessel Zihaishun sank at 2340 hours local time on Sunday about 20 nautical miles off the southern waters of Shandong province, resulting in seven crew members dead and seven missing.

Another vessel Longxing 65 sank at 2050 hours local time on Sunday, causing the deaths of three seamen and nine missing.

Shandong Maritime Safety Administration said the two cargo vessels sank in the midst of stormy weather and rough seas.

The authority has dispatched rescue vessels and helicopters to the accident scenes to search for the missing crew members.
