Lars Nielsen, executive group director of BMS United Bunkers, said the company has been on the lookout for a partner to strengthen its position especially in key areas in Asia.
“We expect a lot of synergies from this union, not only in respect of offering more efficient and economical solutions to our clients, but also from bringing more volume to our suppliers and enhancing our operational efficiency,” Nielsen said.

IBS has presence in major Asian bunkering ports while BMS United Bunkers has operations in Greece, Cyprus, Argentina, Far East Russia as well as in the Asian markets of Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Indonesia.
