Each ro-ro vessel is priced at RMB207m ($29.8m) and they will be delivered no later than 23 months from the signing of the newbuilding contract on Tuesday.
The two new ro-ro vessels will be chartered to Bohai Hengtong Ferry, a joint venture of Bohai Ferry and Hengtong Logistics.
Bohai Ferry said the ro-ro vessels will contribute to the development of Bohai Hengtong Ferry’s intermodal cargo transport business in the Bohai Sea region, expanding the role of its transportation hub bases in Yantai and Dalian.
