Britannia P&I Club celebrates 30 years in Tokyo

Britannia has celebrated 30 years of its branch office license in Tokyo the first foreign P&I Club to be granted such a license in Japan.

The club held receptions in Tokyo and Imabari to celebrate 30 years since being granted the license P&I and FD&D insurance business in Japan.

The receptions were attended by more than 160 guests and hosted by a number of the senior management team including Nigel Palmer OBE, chairman of the Britannia Board, deputy chairman Anthony Firmin, Andrew Cutler, ceo Tindall Riley (Britannia) Ltd and Philip Whittaker, coo Tindall Riley (Britannia) Ltd.

“Providing Members with a quality regional service, staffed by colleagues with local knowledge, is at the very core of corporate strategy and I would like to congratulate my colleagues in the Tokyo branch for providing 30 years of exceptional service,” said Cutler. 
“Tindall Riley is committed to having dedicated Britannia owned local offices in key territories like Japan, to help enhance our personalised service to members.”

Britannia's Tokyo branch is headed by Mitsuhiko Ida (pictured above), who has over 30 years of experience in the P&I industry.
