The first two vessels are due to be delivered in the first and second quarters of 2014. Two of the options have to be declared in 12 months and the remaining two in 24 months.
Meanwhile Cosco (Guangdong) has also inked a contract for 35,000 dwt bulker, also from an undisclosed European company. The vessel is due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2013. The total contract for all seven vessels is over $190m if the options are declared.
