Cosco Shipping International (Singapore), which owns 51% of Cosco Shipyard Group said that Cosco (Zhoushan) had won an order for four 82,000 dwt bulkers from an undisclosed European shipowner for delivery between Q3 2019 and second 2020. There were also two options for a further four 82,000 dwt bulkers. Cosco Shipping International said the price of the vessels was confidential.
Meanwhile Cosco (Dalian) has inked a contract with Cosco Shipping Specialised Carriers for two multi-purpose pulp vessels plus an option for a further vessel with a contract price of RMB222m.
“The effectiveness of the contract is subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Shipowner. The effective dates for the first two vessels shall be no later than 30 September 2017 and the effective date for the vessel subject to the option shall be no later than 31 December 2017,” Cosco Shipping International said.
The vessels would be due for delivery in the first and third quarters of 2019.
