The 12-streamer COSL 721 specialised vessel is scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2014 and is expected to be deployed in South China Sea, according to COSL.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
COSL claimed that the latest seismic vessel will have higher capabilities compared to the company's first order for the 12-streamer COSL 720 which was delivered in 2011.
The COSL 721 will be capable of towing 12 streamers each of 8,000 metres long and equipped with dual-source eight-gun arrays on full diesel-electric propulsion system.
