The opening of the office and the ADC was attended by the Danish Ambassador to Singapore Dorte Vech Vizard and is designed to help cope with increased demand placed on infrastructure and energy as economies grow in the Southeast Asian region.
“Our Marine & Offshore Application Center is help increase innovation, close to and with customers at a system level for the marine and offshore industry to better manage climate challenges in the industry.” said Soren Kvorning, president of Danfoss Asia – Pacific.
This will include areas such as fast developing hybrid power systems for the marine industries.
“More efficient operations are priorities for the seaborne trade which still remains the most energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly mode of transporting cargo although a huge opportunity for doing more. To gain a sense of the potential impact of it is worth to consider that annually, more than 130,000 ships call at Singapore port,” he said.
The ADC in Singapore will offer Danfoss' customers in terms of training, product and application testing and new solutions development.
