Evergreen and CMA CGM launch new service network

Evergreen and CMA CGM launch new service network
Taipei: Evergreen Line is to partner with CMA CGM to provide a new South Red Sea Service (SRS2) which will link Southeast Asia, the Indian Sub-continent (ISC) and the Red Sea, commencing May 2013.

The line will consist of five 2,200teu ships, three of which will be provided by Evergreen and two by CMA CGM. The service will have a weekly frequency and a port rotation of: Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Djibouti, Aden, Jeddah, Port Sudan, Djibouti, Colombo, Port Klang, and back to Tanjung Pelepas.

Evergreen says the service will enable Evergreen Line to expand its port coverage in East Africa, following its ISC-Mauritius–Mozambique–Africa (IMMA) Service which was launched earlier this month.
