Former boss of Hudong-Zhonghua to be charged with taking bribes
The former boss of Shanghai Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard is to be prosecuted for taking bribes, according to an announcement on the website of China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate.

The brief announcement said Gu Tiquan, former chief executive of Hudong-Zhonghua, was involved in accepting bribes and would be charged at Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court.

In May this year, Gu was detained by the Shanghai Discipline Inspection Commission on suspicion of “unlawful activities” but no further details were revealed.

Hudong-Zhonghua is a subsidiary of state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC), one of the largest shipbuilding conglomerates in the country.
