Mok, who was the senior staff at ST Marine between June 2000 to July 2004, pleaded guilty to 50 charges in a Singapore court, including conspiring to make false entertainment expense claims and conspiring to give bribes to employees of ST Marine’s customers to secure more ship repair contracts.
Mok is among seven former senior executives of ST Marine, marine arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering), embroiled in graft investigations. Last month, former coo and senior vice president of shipbuilding Han Yew Kwang was jailed for six months and fined SGD80,000.
In July 2015, former group financial controller Patrick Lee was fined SGD210,000 for falsification of company accounts.
Four others – former president of commercial business Tan Mong Seng, former president See Leong Teck, former president Chang Cheow Teck, senior vice president (finance) Ong Tek Liam – have been charged.
