The 2004-built tanker is scheduled to join the company's fleet during the second quarter of 2014.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
At present, GE Shipping owns and operates a fleet of 31 ships, comprising of 22 tankers and nine dry bulk carriers, with an average age of 9.6 years aggregating 2.5m dwt.
