The unnamed 2009-built tanker is scheduled to join the shipowner's fleet during the second to third quarter of the company's 2018 financial year. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
GE Shipping said its current fleet stands at 46 ships comprising of 30 tankers (12 crude carriers, 16 product tankers and two LPG carriers), and 16 bulkers (one capesize, eight kamsarmaxes and seven supramaxes) with an average age of 9.76 years aggregating 3.8m dwt.
