The board of directors of the company approved of the vessel acquisition plan at a meeting held on 17 April, it announced to the National Stock Exchange of India.
The PSV will have DP1 capability and be based on Rolls Royce UT 755 LN design.
Financial details of the vessel acquisition plan were yet to be disclosed.
Global Offshore Services and its subsidiaries own and operate a total of 12 vessels, according to its website information.
Its vessels are deployed in India, Brazil, West Africa and the North Sea.
