Volumes at the main Kwai Tsing terminals fell 2.3% to 1.50m teu while at the midstream operations throughput fell 8.3% to 430,000 teu, continuing the trend of steep declines in this segment.
Overall throughput however rose 5.7% month-on-month from the 1.83m teu seen in June.
In the first seven months of this year, Hong Kong moved a total of 12.68m teu, down 7.0% from the previous corresponding period.
