Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding eyes land-based LNG business

Chinese shipyard Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding inked strategy co-operation agreement with China Petroleum Engineering& Construction North China branch to enter into the land-based LNG market.

According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly work on the engineering project construction and research for LNG storage and land transportation.

The shipyard said China Petroleum Engineering& Construction is experienced in the design and management of LNG related project while Hudong Zhonghua is capable of building LNG thin film products. The cooperation of the two parties will be able to provide supports for the construction of MARK III type of LNG storage tank in the future. 

Additionally, the two parties will further integrate resources to develop LNG storage and transportation sectors.

Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding is one of the major shipbuilding enterprises under the flag of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), is specialized in building ships, offshore engineering products and non-ship products.
