Hudong Zhonghua has inked agreement with DNV GL to jointly develop the world largest 270,000 cu m LNG ship. Additionally, the shipyard also signed a contract with DNV GL to class a 15,000 teu container vessel conversion to LNG propulsion. In February 2019, Hudong Zhonghua bagged the first LNG power system conversion order for large-sized container vessel from the ship owner Hapag-Lloyd.
Meanwhile, the shipyard signed development agreement with BV for 220,000 cu m FLNG to provide solutions for oil & gas exploration in South China Sea and offshore LNG exploration projects globally.
Hudong Zhonghua said it maintains a closely collaborative approach with BV on LNG supply vessel and LNG-powered vessel development. The cooperation between the two parties aims to promote the development of large-sized FLNG in China.
