Hyundai Mipo Dockyard bags $76m order for product tanker pair

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) has bagged an order to build two new product tankers worth a total of KRW87.9bn ($76m) for an unnamed European shipowner.

The South Korean shipbuilder announced to the stock exchange that the two petrochemical tanker newbuildings are scheduled to be delivered by end-October 2020.

HMD’s latest contracts add on to an earlier order win in April this year to construct six newbuild 25,000-dwt oil and chemical tankers for Dubai-based Tristar Group.
