ICTSI inks Nigerian port agreement
Manila: International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) has been named preferred bidder for a port development close to Lagos, Nigeria.

ICTSI has signed a memorandum of understanding with Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise (LPLE) for the equipment and operation of the container terminal of Tolaram Port@Lekki. The agreement will serve as framework to develop a sub-concession agreement for ICTSI to operate the container terminal for a 20-year period.

The project is set with Lagos Free Trade Zone, 65km east of the Nigerian city and is scheduled for completion in 2016. The container terminal will have an annual capacity of 2.5m teu.

“ICTSI is excited at having been nominated the preferred bidder for this prestigious project that will further enhance Nigeria’s position on the regional and global maritime map,” said Enrique Razon, chairman of ICTSI.
