Kaohsiung throughput improves in July
Taiwan's main sea port of Kaohsiung saw its container throughput improved in July over the previous month.

Kaohsiung handled 850,240 teu of boxes last month, up 8.5% compared to 783,345 teu in June, according to figures from Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau.

In the first seven months of this year, the Taiwanese port moved a total of 5.71m teu. David Cheng, habour master of Kaohsiung port, revealed that the port aims to move 10m teu in 2013, up from 9.78m teu registered in 2012.
