The keel was laid at a ceremony at Fujian Mawei Shipyard in China on 8 December.
The ceremony was hosted by the chairman of Mawei Shipyard Zhang Zhitong along with senior members of the Fujian Shipbuilding Corporation, John Giddens of Tasik Subsea and Mike Meade of M3 Marine.
Tasik Subsea said the keel laying took place ahead of schedule the vessel is due to be delivered in the first quarter 2017 for a confirmed long term charter.
