KS Energy to build jack-up rig at ZPMC

KS Energy to build jack-up rig at ZPMC
KS Energy has signed a contract to build one jack-up drilling rig at Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co (ZPMC).

The contract includes an option to build a second sister rig based on the Friede & Goldman JU-2000E design.

The price of one rig is tagged at approximately $199.2m.

The first rig is expected to be delivered 27 months from the contract effective date on 23 June 2014, while KS Energy may exercise the option for the second rig any time during the six months after the effective date.
