Anthony Randell will be Maersk’s new country manager for Australia and PNG from 1 August based in Sydney and reporting to regional ceo Lars Mikael Jensen in Singapore.
It is the first time Maersk has appointed a native Australian to the post, and Randall currently holds the line’s customer service and operations manager roles in the Australian organisation. He was previously country manager for Taiwan from 2011 to 2013.
”We will continue to look for opportunities to extend our network in Australia and ensure we offer competitive products. We also see solid growth into and out of Papua New Guinea and this will also remain a key area for us to further develop,” Randell said.
Randall takes over from Nicolaj Noes who is moving to Singapore to head up the Asia Pacific Liner Operations Cluster.
