Bo Wegener has been appointed at the new cluster manager for Thailand and Dawid Sold has taken up the role of country manager in Myanmar reporting to Wegener.
”With the recent establishment of our own office in Yangon, we are uniquely positioned to service customers’ growing demand for high quality container shipping services to and from Myanmar,” said Wegener.
Maersk got its permanent operating license for container operations in Myanmar in February this year.
“Myanmar is in the developmental stage and it opens up great business opportunities for our customers,” said Sold.
Last week Maersk appointed Lars Mikael Jensen as the new ceo of its Asia – Pacific business, which covers Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
