The contract, awarded through its Jasa Merin (Malaysia) unit is for a primary duration of three years with two additional one-year extension options. Work, to support Hess’ operations offshore Malaysia, is expected to commence on August 1, 2018.
US independent oil company Hess has a project in the North Malay Basin as well as has been operating other fields offshore Peninsular Malaysia.
