MCC Transport launches Myanmar feeder service
Maersk Line's intra-Asia arm MCC Transport has introduced a new Myanmar service to meet demands of the country's growing economy to global markets via transhipment in Southeast Asia.

MCC Transport launched the service jointly with CMA CGM, with each carrier deploying one vessel to offer fixed weekly arrival and departure to/from Yangon, Myanmar.

“With its sizable population, strategic geographical location and natural resources, Myanmar market has a huge potential,” said Tim Wickmann, ceo of MCC Transport.

MCC Transport's chartered vessel MV Malte Rambow called at the Myanmar Industrial Port in Yangon on 31 July on her maiden call. The vessel will then sail to Port Klang and Tanjung Pelepas Port in Malaysia, and thereafter Singapore, before returning to Yangon after 14 days.

MCC Transport highlighted that a unique feature of the new service is a fixed window in Yangon which offers supply chain stability.
