The vessels will be built at Minaminippon Shipbuilding. They will operate under a long term charter and the new contracts will help MOL's strategy of strengthening its long term business, the Japanese line said.
Ampco, based in Equatorial Guinea, will deploy the vessels to serve on trades from Equatorial Guinea to various ports in Europe and the US.
Last week, MOL also signed a contract to build and charter out four methanol carriers to Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited.
