MOL restructures South Africa-China routes
MOL is restructuring its Asia to South Africa Services into two direct loops, with one to call South China, and the other directly connecting Central China.  

The new South China Loop and Central China Loop will begin on Kaohsiung on 9 October and Shanghai on 15 October respectively.

Leaving from Kaohsiung on Thursdays, the “SAS” (South Africa- South China) service will deploy seven vessels of between 5,800 and 4,200 teu, calling at Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Durban, Cape Town, Port Kelang and Singapore, before returning to Kaohsiung, over the course of 56 days.

Meanwhile six vessels of between 5,800 and 4,200 teu will be deployed on the “SAC” (South Africa- Central China) service leaving from Shanghai on Wednesdays, calling at Shanghai, Ningbo, Keelung, Singapore, Durban, and Singapore, and returning to Shanghai 63 days later.
