The latest sales brought Nam Cheong's orderbook to a total of MYR1.4bn ($457.6m).
“The sale of these accommodation work barges came at the heel of a six-vessel sale Nam Cheong had in late March,” said Leong Seng Keat, executive director of Nam Cheong.
The two vessels are being constructed as part of the group's build-to-stock series in one of its subcontracted yards in China. They are scheduled for delivery during the first half of 2014.
Singapore-listed Nam Cheong currently has a fleet of 13 vessels, comprising ten subsea support vessels (SSVs), one anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel and two landing crafts, which are chartered out by way of bareboat or time charters.
