The three-day conference has gathered authoritative speakers to examine current achievements in the Russian offshore arena, as well as considering the potential for future developments.
The scale of resources to be found under the ice is reflected in the conference programme, where Arctic and ice operations featuring heavily. Recent developments in the Arctic, regulatory challenges, the critical need for safety, public-private cooperation and the future potential for development in the arctic will all be discussed in depth.
Another common theme running throughout the full programme of discussions is the development of Russian technical and operational expertise. From leading edge engineering and equipment production through to rescue and emergency capabilities, there is a clear will for Russia to play a leading role in the future of Arctic oil exploration.
