Pelindo I told to expand Sibolga Port to cope with rising demand
Indonesian Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi has called on state-owned port operator Pelindo I to expand Sibolga Port in North Sumatra to facilitate growing flows of people and goods, local media reported.

"Sibolga Port plays an important role for the connectivity of people living in North Sumatra and Aceh," Budi was quoted as saying.

Pelindo I said earlier it had prepared budgetary allocations for the expansion of the port. The construction activities would begin in 2017, it added.
