Polstream orders eight bulk carriers at Yangfan Group
Polish shipowner Polska Zegluga Morska PP (Polsteam) has went to China-based Yangfan Group shipyard to build eight open hatch bulk carriers, according to engineering services firm Deltamarin.

The environmentally-friendly bulk carriers are based on Deltamarin's B.Delta37 eco-designs. Tests have shown that daily fuel oil consumption for the new vessels is expected to be at 17.6 metric tonnes including 15% sea margin, ISO conditions, according to Deltamarin.

“The total contract value of Deltamarin's work with Yangfan Group, to be carried out over an estimated period of six months, is around €1m ($1.7m),” Deltamarin said.

It added that Yangfan Group is building a total of 21 B.Delta37 vessels, two for Tunisian owner Transbulk, 11 for Italian d'Amico, and the latest eight for Polstream.
