The environmentally-friendly bulk carriers are based on Deltamarin's B.Delta37 eco-designs. Tests have shown that daily fuel oil consumption for the new vessels is expected to be at 17.6 metric tonnes including 15% sea margin, ISO conditions, according to Deltamarin.
“The total contract value of Deltamarin's work with Yangfan Group, to be carried out over an estimated period of six months, is around €1m ($1.7m),” Deltamarin said.
It added that Yangfan Group is building a total of 21 B.Delta37 vessels, two for Tunisian owner Transbulk, 11 for Italian d'Amico, and the latest eight for Polstream.
