Salvors set to reach stricken MOL Comfort
Salvage vessels are expected to reach the two parts of the stricken boxship MOL Comfort today.

The vessel’s owner Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) said a patrol boat and three tugboats were set reach the boxship on 24 June.

The five-year old MOL Comfort split in two in the Indian Ocean on 17 June the fore and aft sections of the hull remain afloat. As yet the cause of the casualty remains unknown.

The vessel was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) is understood to be one of a series of eight vessels.
