Sembmarine says farewell to Sembawang and Jurong Shipyard names in rebrand
Singapore shipyard operator Sembcorp Marine has rebranded all its yard’s under the group name laying to rest long established names such as Sembawang and Jurong Shipyard.

From 1 July Sembcorp Marine has become a single brand with a focus on four areas – rigs and floaters, repairs and upgrades, offshore platforms and specialised shipbuilding. Ong Poh Kwee has been appointed coo of the new integrated group.

It also sees Sembmarine dropping the use of some its longstanding yard names and for example Sembawang Shipyard will become Sembcorp Marine Admiralty Yard and Jurong Shipyard will be known as Sembcorp Marine Tanjong Kling Yard.

“As an integrated Sembcorp Marine, we can further optimise our capabilities and capacities, as well as increase our efficiency and productivity to better serve our partners and customers,” said Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican, chairman of Sembmarine.
