Singapore posts 8% box volume rise in September

Singapore posts 8% box volume rise in September
Singapore: Container throughput in September at the port of Singapore rose 8.3% year-on-year to 2.61m teu, according to figures from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Last month's port volumes, however, dropped compared to 2.74m teu recorded in August.

In the first nine months of this year, Singapore handled 23.76m teu of containers, up from 22.26m teu registered in the same period of 2011.
