Singapore container throughput drops in July
The port of Singapore has handled lower container throughput in July with volumes recorded at 2.55m teu, according to figures from Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Last month’s volumes were down 13.6% compared to 2.95m teu registered in July 2014, MPA figures showed.

On a month-on-month comparison, volumes inched down 2.7% from 2.62m teu posted in June.

In the first seven months of this year, Singapore moved a total throughput of 18.55m teu, a decrease of 4.6% from 19.45m teu in the previous corresponding period.
