Singapore container volumes climb to 2.99m teu in May
The port of Singapore has recorded 2.99m teu of container throughput in May, the highest monthly figure so far this year, according to preliminary estimates from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

The volumes in May represented a 12% increase compared to 2.67m teu registered in May 2016, and an increase of 9.9% compared to 2.72m teu in April this year, MPA data showed.

From January to May 2017, Singapore port handled a total of 13.32m teu, up 5.8% compared to 12.59m teu moved in the same period of 2016.
