Sinopacific ceo Simon Liang steps down, reshuffles senior management
Sinopacific Shipbuilding’s chairman and ceo Simon Liang has stepped down for co-ceo Jiang Qiang to take over, with further reshuffling at the top management, the company announced on Wednesday.

Liang, who is also founder and president of Evergreen Industries Holding Group, ventured into the shipbuilding industry back in 2003, leading to the establishment of Sinopacific after acquiring distressed shipyards.

Separately, Wang Xingru, current co-ceo of Sinopacific, will leave the company after only a short stint as he joined in August last year from state-owned Cosco Group.

Wang Jianding, who joined Sinopacific in 2007, has been promoted to chief operating officer, the company statement said.

Privately-owned Sinopacific designs and constructs dry bulk carriers and offshore support vessels.
