Southeast Chinese province of Jiangxi launched international trade operations at its biggest inland container terminal aimed at improving transportation efficiency and attracting greater container cargo volumes.

The newly developed Long Tou Gang terminal includes four 2,000 tons-class berths, with designed container throughput of 200,000 teu annually. Currently, the terminal mainly handles services for Europe, North America and Africa routes.

Jiangxi is one of the major seven inland terminal operators handling container transport for international trading, the other six consists of Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Chongqing.

Long Tou Gang terminal started its first phase operation in 2017 for inland cargo transportation only.
